MIssing you

Absence diminishes mediocre passions and increases great ones, as the wind extinguishes candles and fans fires.
Francois de La Rochefoucauld

TIme .....

Time is what we want most, but what we use worst.
William Penn

Until you value yourself, you won't value your time. Until you value your time, you will not do anything with it.
M. Scott Peck

3 Passions

Bertrand Russell:

Three passions have governed my life:
The longings for love, the search for knowledge,
And unbearable pity for the suffering of [humankind].

Love brings ecstasy and relieves loneliness.
In the union of love I have seen
In a mystic miniature the prefiguring vision
Of the heavens that saints and poets have imagined.

With equal passion I have sought knowledge.
I have wished to understand the hearts of [people].
I have wished to know why the stars shine.

Love and knowledge led upwards to the heavens,
But always pity brought me back to earth;
Cries of pain reverberated in my heart
Of children in famine, of victims tortured
And of old people left helpless.
I long to alleviate the evil, but I cannot,
And I too suffer.

This has been my life; I found it worth living.

In My Garden

In My Garden

In my garden, filled with flowers,
I sit in quiet prayer
And, as I look around me,
I see God everywhere.

He's in the fragrant roses,
In glorious array.
Their perfume lingers in the air
And takes my breath away.

A gentle breeze is blowing.
Sunshine warms my face.
How near to God I feel,
In this enchanting place.

I see His hand in everything,
Sweet gifts sent from above.
My soul knows only peace,
As I rest, here, in His love.

Cause And Effect

When the phoenix rises from his ashes,
He reminds the world of her clashes.
But he brings a bright light of hope,
A rising sun that glides along the slope.

When the dragon roars and bares his teeth,
He reminds the world of the fire underneath.
But he brings a great revelation,
A dawning realization that there is a destination.

When the wolf pounces on his prey,
He reminds the world of her disarray.
But he brings a blanket of shame,
An anger quickly turning into a flame.

When the serpent uncoils from the deep abyss,
He reminds the world of a rebellion that resists.
But he brings an unification of the races,
And of their differences, there are no traces.

Friends

"Don't walk in front of me, I may not follow
Don't walk behind me, I may not lead
Just walk beside me and be my friend."

Courage

Courage

Many are the troubles we are confronted with,
Life is no more than a troublesome myth,
Reality is so bizarre and weak,
Sadness and fear has reached its peak.

What we lack is the courage to start,
Yet what we need is just a strong living heart,
Gather your wits all in one part,
And face that evil killing dart.

Whatever will happen, whatever it will take,
You are not going to let it break,
Cross the line and break your fate,
And start to try loving what you hate.

You have the right to decide your life course,
But be ready it may be all hollow and hoarse,
Try all that you can but don’t give up,
If in the end, you want the winning cup.

The courage is all that you need,
In your life, that will be the sowing seed,
It may put you in the lead,
But never will it be the weed.

If you think you are missing something,
Its the courage, the courage, in your ears it will ring.

Sunrise

Sunrise

The sun rises.
The wind blows.
Like a tree.
True love grows and grows.

Like a flower.
True love smells fresh.
Like a river.
True love stands time’s test.

Two elderly people holding hands.
Walking barefoot on the beach sand.
The young at heart lady is the man’s wife.
Love can still be like the sunrise in the twilight of a person’s life.

The Rose

The Rose

Anonymous

It is only a tiny rosebud
A flower of God's design;
But I cannot unfold the petals
With these clumsy hands of mine

The secret of unfolding flowers
Is not known to such as I
The flower God opens so gently
In my hands would fade and die

If I cannot unfold a rosebud,
This flower of God's design,
How can I have wisdom
To unfold this life of mine?

So I'll trust in Him for His leading
Each moment of every day,
And I'll look to Him for His guidance
Each step of the pilgrim way

For the pathway that lies before me
My heavenly Father knows
I'll trust Him to unfold the moments
Just as he unfolds the rose

I asked God

I Asked God.........
-Author Unknown

I asked God to take away my pain.
God said, No.
It is not for me to take away,
but for you to give it up.

I asked God to make my handicapped child whole.
God said, No.
Her spirit was whole,
her body was only temporary.

I asked God to grant me patience.
God said, No
Patience is a by-product of tribulations,
it isn't granted, it is earned.

I asked God to give me happiness.
God said, No.
I give you blessings, Happiness is up to you.

I asked God to spare me pain.
God said, No.
Suffering draws you apart from worldly cares
and brings you closer to me.

I asked God to make my spirit grow.
God said, No.
You must grow on your own,
but I will prune you to make you fruitful.

I asked for all things that I might enjoy life.
God said, No.
I will give you life so that
you may enjoy all things.

I ask God to help me LOVE others,
as much as he loves me.
God said... Ahhhh,
finally you have the idea.

Words from Rose - Failure

Every Failure Is A Step Closer To Success
Share
People who try to do something and fail are infinitely better than those who try to do nothing and succeed. Experiencing failure is inevitable on your journey to be successful. Each defeat is merely an installment to victory.

You'll find that the number of times you succeed is in direct proportion to the number of times you fail and keep trying. You won't be judged by the number of times you fail, but by the number of times you succeed.

Failure is nothing but education, nothing but the first step to something better.
You can't be a winner and be afraid to lose.

Marvelous

Sunshine - Ralph Waldo Emerson

The world still wants its poet-priest, a reconciler, who shall not trifle with Shakspeare the player, nor shall grope in graves with Swedenborg the mourner; but who shall see, speak, and act, with equal inspiration. For knowledge will brighten the sunshine; right is more beautiful than private affection; and love is compatible with universal wisdom.

Passion of Life

Passion Of Life

To achieve something great in the world you need Passion
To fulfill vision, a great leader’s courage comes from Passion
Whatever it may be, you must find your Passion
If passion drives you, let reason hold the reins
Follow your passion and success will follow you!

Never underestimate the power of passion
Without passion religion is spiritless
Without Passion history is meaningless
Without Passion art is useless
Follow your passion and success will follow you!

When you take up a mission with passion
There are no dreams too large
No innovation unimaginable
No frontiers beyond reach
Follow your passion and success will follow you!

Our passions are the winds that propel our vessel
Our reason is the pilot that steers her
Without winds the vessel would not move
Without a pilot she would be lost
Follow your passion and success will follow you!

There is no end and there is no beginning
There is only the passion of life
Passion is universal humanity
Passion is the genesis of genius
Follow your passion and success will follow you!

Forgive me Lord

Forgive Me Lord

Forgive me Lord for I have sinned
Disobeyed you for so many times
For being so weak in my beliefs
And most specially for doubting you
And losing my faith in you
Forgive me Lord and please heal my soul
Help me regain the faith I’ve lost
Shine your light in my weary mind
Help me heal my wounded soul
I’m sorry my Lord and please forgive me
Help me doubt in you no more
Forgive me Lord.

Words from Rose

“The best thing to give to your enemy is forgiveness; to an opponent, tolerance; to a friend, your heart; to your child, a good example; to a father, deference; to your mother, conduct that will make her proud of you; to yourself, respect; to all men, charity.” Benjamin Franklin (American Statesman, Scientist, Philosopher, Printer, Writer and Inventor. 1706-1790)

Humility

Humility

Humility is perfect quietness of heart, It is to expect nothing, to wonder at nothing that is done to me, to feel nothing done against me. It is to be at rest when nobody praises me, and when I am blamed or despised. It is to have a blessed home in the Lord, where I can go in and shut the door, and kneel to my Father in secret, and am at peace as in a deep sea of calmness, when all around and above is trouble.

- Andrew Murray

9 Requirements

Nine requisites for contented living: Health enough to make work a pleasure. Wealth enough to support your needs. Strength to battle with difficulties and overcome them. Grace enough to confess your sins and forsake them. Patience enough to toil until some good is accomplished. Charity enough to see some good in your neighbor. Love enough to move you to be useful and helpful to others. Faith enough to make real the things of God. Hope enough to remove all anxious fears concerning the future.
--Johann Wolfgang von Goethe (1749-1832)

Gorillas

Walter Wink:

South African Archbishop Desmond Tutu walked by a construction site on a temporary sidewalk the width of one person. A white man appeared at the other end, recognized Tutu, and said, "I don't make way for gorillas." At which Tutu stepped aside, made a deep sweeping gesture, and said, "Ah, yes, but I do."

Words from Al Diaz

"Imagine...Here you are, on the high peak of a mountian. You can choose to wing your way toward the clouds, or you can simply walk the usual, ordinary paths that lead to the valley below. Which choice will you make - the well-worn paths or rising above it all? Beautiful things await you if you can reach the heights." - George Sand

Words from Rose - Master Life Don't Let It Master You

Some people are successful in mastering life, while others permit life to master them.

There is a split in you that is very clear.
There is part of you that knows what you should do, and a part of you that does what it feels like doing.

Don't let passion drive you, let reason hold the reins.

Once you understand these opposing forces warring within you, with this knowledge of the truth: you no longer remain a slave. A clear understanding of this will make you the master of your life.

Resistance is your thoughts transformed into feelings.
Change the thoughts that create the resistance, and there is no more resistance.

Are you controlled by your thoughts or are you controlling your thoughts?
If you do not conquer self, you will be conquered by self.

If you are ruled by your mind you are a king, if by your body, a slave.

Love is so very special

Love is so very special
Yet can make you feel so lost
It can arrive just like the springtime
And melt away like morning frost

You must find ways to nurture
Always grow your love with care
Never ever take for granted
The love that you both share

Mistakes are bound to happen
You may hurt each other's heart
Yet don't give up to easily
It will tear your love apart

Love resembles a bright flame
That lights a dark starry night
Never ever let this flame burn down
Rekindle with all your might

Take a moment every day
Look deep into each other's eyes
Never hesitate to show affection
Small gestures will keep a love alive

Talk openly about your feelings
Take time to show that you care
Treasure each and every moment
Because to find true love is rare
